Too often we get caught up in the day to day of life. We are here to help you celebrate the connections you have in your life with your blood related or chosen family (including your pets)!
Typically, families remember the milestones - birth announcements, graduations, wedding, and anniversary pictures. We work with you to capture the beauty that happens each and every day in your relationships – the loving, tenderness, and humor you experience with your loved ones.
Danielle Harris Studios specializes in capturing the bonds between family members.
*The tenderness in a parent’s kiss given to their child.
*The unique bond between parents and their adult children.
*The unconditional love between a dog and their favorite human.
*The way couples in love gaze at one another.
*The smirk of humor between siblings. *The nuances that can sometimes go unnoticed.
We capture those moments for you to celebrate for years to come.
I know "capturing moments" is the most common phrase used for photographers to describe their work BUT it's just so true...and my favorite part of being a photographer!! I love working with people to document their emotions - their connections - and providing them with portraits that make them FEEL that way just by looking at them. It’s like reliving the moments all over again. There's nothing quite so special than being welcomed into someone’s life to capture all the love and happiness in one frame.
Your portraits are a snapshot of your life right now. Our clients love to proudly display wall art from the most premier, professional labs across the globe. Choosing from handmade Italian Portrait Boxes to Fine Acrylic portraits, we assist you in creating the perfect piece of artwork for your home today and in the future.
We are so excited to have you participate in our project! If you have any unanswered questions after viewing the information below, please call or text us at 602-932-7375. Thank you!
PROCESS
To participate in a project: (1) Read through all details texted and emailed to you (2) schedule a time for us to call you (see text and emails for link) (3) have your conversation with us to learn about the project, ask any questions, tell us who will be participating with you and provide the $100 deposit.
Once you’re scheduled you will come into the studio on your set date and time for approximately 30-45 minutes. Your ordering session via Zoom (the one and only time to both see the images and select what you would like to keep for yourself) will take place at your selected time which is usually two weeks after your portrait session. The Zoom lasts for 45-90 minutes, depending on how quickly you make decisions.
COLOR/BW
While we specialize in black and white images, we also offer color images. If that is something you’re interested in, please be sure to let your consultant (Ryan or Audra) know during your ordering session.
CELL PHONE USAGE
So that participants and/or artist are not distracted, we require that all cell phones be put away during the entire portrait session
PROOFS
We offer a one of a kind experience – your ordering session (see ordering session below).
CLOTHING
A very frequent, and understandable, question we get is about what to wear to a session. We recommend solid colors and while black or white are best, it can be any color. Be sure, though, that participants coordinate somewhat so that no one stands out more than others. In other words, if one person wears white and five others wear black, that one person will be the focus in every image. A great way to do this is to have everyone wear lighter colors or darker colors but no one deviates from that plan. This way, the focus will be on everyone in each image. Also, please stay away from any sort of patterns – dots, stripes, flowers, etc. as they tend to distract the eye from the face and hands which is where we want the focus of the portraits. Please note that some of the portraits will be of the full body - head to toe. Shoes and socks should be taken into consideration for the clothing as well.
You can be as formal or as casual as you would like! The clothing should represent who you are today as these portraits will be on your wall for years to come. You can even bring your clothes to change into when you arrive (great for kids to do this) and have one change of clothing during the session. Always keep in mind that the sessions are 30-45 minutes maximum so we want to be aware of the time that it takes to get changed into new outfits.
HAIR
We strongly recommend getting haircuts or any color touch ups at least one to two weeks prior to your session. That way you have a week for it to relax a bit before coming into the studio.
MAKEUP
You can keep your makeup to your normal day to day or evening make up OR Google ‘makeup for black and white portraits’ as there are several options provided there. Please do stay away from any white or glitter makeup as it is highlighted quite a bit in the black and white portraits.
MANICURES
Your nails will show in the images. Please have them ready to be seen in the portraits whether it is a fresh coat of paint, full manicure, full set of nails or bare.
ORDERING SESSION
Your ordering session will take place via Zoom at the scheduled time. This very carefully crafted process is the one and only time to see your amazing portraits. Please be sure that anyone that wants to see the images is in attendance and that you’re on a full screen (laptop, tablet, etc.) rather than on a phone screen. It’s imperative to be on that larger screen as we pull up multiple images at once which cannot be compared to one another on a phone. This is the one and only time to view the images. Once the Zoom session ends, there are no changes, edits, cancellations to the order. No refunds will be provided for any reason as the images are sent for production immediately following the Ordering Session.
YOUR PORTRAITS
We offer artwork that hangs on the wall as well as digitals images. If you pay in full, digital images will be emailed to you within four weeks of your ordering session and artwork will arrive directly to your doorstep within eight weeks of your ordering session.
INSTALLMENT OPTION
We do have an installment option for your financial ease. This in-house, interest-free option can be up to three equal monthly installments. If you opt for the installment option, your digitals will be delivered within two weeks of final payment and your artwork within six weeks of final payment.
